An Independent Senator has, again, described the committee examining the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution as a 'sham' process.
Ronan Mullen says the committee didn't hear from some of the remaining witnesses.
Last night, the Oireachtas Committee on the 8th amendment, on which sits two Kildare TDs voted that the amendment should not be retained in full in the constitution.
That ballot followed weeks of hearings.
The committee will now have to decide between 6 possible options to be put to the people by referendum; from a simple repeal of the 8th, to repeal and replace with a new law.
